Jaron Asher, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with 23 years of clinical experience working with individuals 18 years and older. He spent the past 17 years working at a community health center as their psychiatrist and Chief Behavioral Health Officer. His work at his former agency included the integration of behavioral health with primary care. He is experienced in the psychiatric treatment of the whole range of adult diagnoses with an emphasis on ADHD, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders.

Cheryl is a licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri with over 20 years of clinical experience. She provided a warm, confidential space where trainees can talk openly, feel understood, and gain perspective- while also offering thoughtful challenge. Cheryl draws from ACT, CBT,DBT and trauma- informed care to help with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, mood concerns, trauma, relationships, career direction and life transitions. Her goal is to help trainees develop practical tools for managing stress, reconnect with their values, and build a sustainable and meaningingful path through training and beyond.
Before joining the GME Counseling Team in 2020, Cheryl worked as a therapist and clinical supervisor in community health and residential care. Outside of work, she enjoys activities in the sunshine, reading, home projects and time with family, friends and pets.
Lisa Thompson-Gibson, MA, MA

Lisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. She is a trained art therapist and experienced in talk therapy with individuals and groups. She has been working in clinical spaces for over 10 years and has a prior career dedicated to Student Affairs, International Education, and Law School Administration. In her downtime Lisa enjoys artmaking, traveling, cooking, reading, beekeeping, and spending time with family, friends and her 3 dogs. She has traveled extensively domestically and internationally. This has contributed to her passion for social justice, inclusivity, cultural humility and lifelong learning.

Tasha is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, Texas, and Colorado. Tasha has 16 years of clinical experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds in nonprofit organizations, community mental health and the healthcare industry. She also has experience with life coaching, energy work and hypnotherapy. Her passion is supporting individuals through trauma and life transitions; she is experienced in evidence-based practices addressing issues such as stress, burnout, depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, from a diversity affirming lens. Tasha believes collaboration is strongest when everyone’s wisdom is valued. Outside of work, you’ll often find Tasha hiking or backpacking; she also enjoys travel, crafting, going to the gym, and music.
