For Observers
- Applying for the rotation through Visiting Learner’s MyClinicalExchange portal
- Create a “Visiting Learner – NP” profile for in Workday
- Order HIPAA training (non-appointee must have a WUSTL key to complete)
- Ensure completion of Compliance Training (non-appointee must have a WUSTL key to complete)
- Epic access is not allowed for observers
- Notify OISS (for non-appointees who are on visas)
- Order a WashU badge
- Welcome email with reporting information & contacts
- Orientation to the rotation
- Accommodation search support (GME provides no funding for rotator accommodations; parking information is available).
For Hands-on
- Create a “Clinical Fellow – NP” profile for visitor in Workday and onboard accordingly.
- Order HIPAA training (non-appointee must have a WUSTL key to complete)
- Ensure completion of Compliance Training (non-appointee must have a WUSTL key to complete)
- Order Background Check and Drug Screening
- Occ Health/Immunization compliance
- Notify OISS (for non-appointees who are on visas)
- Order a WashU badge
- Assign Epic role to rotator for access and set-up
- Program Leadership completes required fields New Innovations profile
- SSN
- Medical School graduation date
- NPI
- MO medical license dates and file upload
- Employer
- Welcome email with reporting information & contacts
- Orientation to the rotation
- Accommodation search support (GME provides no funding for rotator accommodations; parking information is available).
- Evaluation (only required for clinical, hands-on rotations or at the discretion of the home institution)
